PURPOSE: A method for carbonizing high-polymer waste and an incinerator for incinerating the high-polymer waste are provided to effectively control the carbonization process when incinerating the high-polymer waste by introducing a part of exhaust gas into a carbonization chamber. CONSTITUTION: An incinerator comprises a carbonization chamber body(1). The secondary combustion chamber(2) is connected to the carbonization chamber body(1). An auxiliary burner(3), an air supplying device(4) and an ignition device(5) are installed at a predetermined portion of the secondary combustion chamber(2). A combustion device(6) is provided to mix and burn carbonized gas and air supplied from the air supplying device(4). A waste heat boiler(7) is connected to the secondary combustion chamber(2), and an exhaust gas recirculation device(8) is connected to the carbonization chamber body(1). The first flow-rate control valve(9) is arranged between the secondary combustion chamber(2) and the waste heat boiler(7), and the second flow-rate control valve(10) is arranged between the waste heat boiler(7) and the exhaust gas recirculation device(8).
