The waste, especially plastic, is passed molten through a porous refractory body of annular, conical or other form, to reach the flow of combustion gases. The waste, effectively a fuel in liquid form, is gasified on the surface of the body. Preferred features: The porous body comprises refractory ceramic. In the device, plastic waste which can be melted is gasified. The porous body is used in place of a nozzle in a standard oxy-fuel burner, for the combustion of molten plastic wastes. |
