摘要 A layered composite comprises an insulating layer for electrically insulating a first oxygen ion-conducting solid electrolyte layer or electrically conducting layer from a second oxygen ion-conducting solid electrolyte layer or electrically conducting layer. The insulating layer is formed of a ceramic powder and/or a glass powder on a support with a paste or a suspension. The first layer or the second layer partially acts as the support. The sintered insulating layer has a thickness of not more than 10 Microm and the powder is a nano-powder having a BET specific surface area of more than 50 m2>/g and a maximum powder particle size of 100 nm. An independent claim is also included for the manufacture of the layered composite. Preferred Features: The ratio of the thickness of the insulating layer to the support is at least 1:100, preferably at least 1:200. A specific electrical resistance of the insulating layer at 700[deg]C is at least 100 times larger than the specific electrical resistance of ZrO2 stabilized with 8 mole% Y2O3. The glass powder is made of SiO2.
