摘要 Process for electromagnetically applying hard material layers to conducting material surfaces made of steel or metals such as aluminum, titanium and magnesium comprises maintaining the electrode distance and the energy transfer in a process-controlled three-dimensional coordinate system using a robot; and applying a 2-15 mu m thick hard metal-hard material layer with a uniform surface distribution and constant penetration depth with the addition of 1-3% vanadium in the hard metal electrode so that a multi-phase mixed crystal coating of tungsten, vanadium and iron carbides having low porosity, uniform thickness and low internal stress is produced and a vanadium content of 1-3% is present in the hard material layer. Preferred Features: The hard metal-hard material layer is engraved in the counter material of the assembled component to prevent slippage and turning.
