An elevator device, wherein an opening part (14) communicating the upper part of a landing (12) with the inside of a hoistway (11) is provided in a front wall (11a) of the hoistway (11), a plurality of detachable soundproofing and fireproofing covers (15) are installed on the landing (12) side and hoistway (11) side of the opening part (14), and a driving device (23) moving up and down a car (27) is disposed in an installation space (20) surrounded by the soundproofing and fireproofing covers (15).
