PURPOSE: A real time remote joint lecture system is provided to establish and make progress on lectures among universities in the country and out of country using multimedia and software, to make engineering software available to the students without location, and to make evaluation possible. CONSTITUTION: If lecture is provided, a providing client(200) sends the lecture data to an utilization client and a lecture stores the data and provide chatting function to the both clients. The providing client consists of codec(230) to encode data, a streaming server to send multimedia data, microphones(210) to receive voice, speakers(220) to play voice, cameras(240) to capture the video data and web browser. The utilization client(300) consists of codec(330) to decode data, a streaming server to send multimedia data, microphones(310) to receive voice, speakers(320) to play voice, cameras(340) to capture the video data and web browser. The mediation server(400) consists of lecture management part(410), web DB application, communication part(420), online evaluation part(430), and joint practice part(440). The registered users can establish lectures, input the lecture information and student information, give or take lectures, take a test or examination, participate in joint practice using Internet(100) and chat one another among the lecturers and students. The software is not installed in the clients but operated in the server.
