<p>According to the present invention there is provided a cosmetic method for providing improved skin hydration wherein the method comprises topically applying to the skin a protease enzyme, and simultaneously or sequentially, topically applying to the skin a skin care active selected from a vitamin B3 component, vitamin E acetate, panthenol and mixtures thereof. There is also provided a cosmetic method for providing improved skin hydration wherein the method comprises topically applying to the skin a skin care active selected from a vitamin B3 component, vitamin E acetate, panthenol and mixtures thereof, and simultaneously or sequentially, topically applying to the skin a protease enzyme. Furthermore there is provided a cosmetic method for providing improved skin hydration wherein the method comprises topically applying to the skin a cosmetic composition comprising (a) from about 0.0001 % to about 1 %, by weight, of protease enzyme; and (b) from about 0.1 % to about 20 %, by weight, of a skin care active selected from a vitamin B3 component, vitamin E acetate, panthenol and mixtures thereof. Finally there is provided a cosmetic method of providing improved skin hydration comprising topically applying to the skin a first cosmetic composition comprising from about 0.0001 % to about 1 %, by weight, of protease enzyme, and either simultaneously or sequentially topically applying to the skin a second cosmetic composition comprising from about 0.1 % to about 20 %, by weight, of a skin care active selected from a vitamin B3 component, vitamin E acetate, panthenol and mixtures thereof.</p> |
