The method involves feeding thermal energy to a liquid heat carrier in two phases on its path through the collector. In the first phase it is heated by recovering energy otherwise given off as heat loss. In the second phase thermal energy from the absorber heated (40) by the sun is transferred to the liquid carrier. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for implementing the method.
