PURPOSE: A random shifting algorithm for a container is provided to load a container soon to be taken out on the upper portion of a warehouse by determining the precedence of work instantly when a specific container is taken out or shifted. CONSTITUTION: A shifting algorithm outputs the precedence or shifting work based on the information about the containers loaded on a bay when one of the containers is need to be lifted on. The shifting algorithm guides proper shifting work depending on the YT entering direction, reduces the number of shifting by considering the precedence of lift-on, avoids the lift-on of containers of different size on the same row, and prevents the lift-on of a container having a specific attribute on another container.
