Granules (I) consisting of lactose and starch are claimed, which: r ) have a friability of 80% of less (preferably 60%) by a test A; (b) have a compressibility by a test B of 70N or more (preferably 80N or more) for a tablet density of 1.3 g/ml or 170N or more (preferably 180N or more) for a tablet density of 1.4 g/ml and/or (c) comprise co-atomized lactose and starch. Independent claim is included for: (i) the preparation of granules (I') consisting of lactose and starch; and (ii) solid formulations containing (I)/(I'). |
