An optical information recording medium comprising a first information recording layer onto which information is recorded by a laser beam, and a second information recording layer onto which information is recorded by a laser beam that has passed the first information recording layer, wherein the first information recording layer includes at least one of a reproduction-only area and a recording/reproducing area, and the second information recording layer, which includes a test recording area, has at least one of the reproduction-only area and the recording/reproducing area and the test area located therein so that one of the reproduction-only area and the recording/reproducing area includes an area, in the first information recording layer, through which a laser beam for recording information into the test recording area passes.
