The method involves moving water at high pressure through a heated high pressure line to a spray nozzle, whereby the pressure of the water in the high pressure line and the heating are selected so that the water is output from the nozzle almost boiling and is sprayed against the object so that dirt is freed from the object and carried away with the water.
