The fixing device (1) comprises a profiled part (9) e.g. pin which fits with keyed engagement in a recess or opening formed in at least two rungs of the stationary ladder, more particularly in the tread faces (7) thereof. The recess can be mounted in the centre between the ladder beams. The axis of the recess runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of same.
