The sealing strip has an anchor foot (14) and arms (18,18a-e) protruding from the side (17) of the base strip (13) remote from the foot. The free end (24) of the arm remote from the foot has an end support face (25) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal centre plane (MLE) of the casement frame (2). The support face is provided on a trapezoidal bead forming the free end of the arm which has parallel inclined sides.
