The invention relates to a steering lock provided with an active connection possessing a detecting element in a radial recess (15) of a cylinder core (10). The detecting element determines whether a key is inserted into the key channel of the cylinder core (10) or not. As long as the key is inserted, a lifter engages with the detecting element from the rear. Said lifter is spring-loaded and controls a locking pin in a lock or release position in relation to the steering system of a motor vehicle. In order to provide a compact steering lock, the detecting element used is a pivotally mounted lever (30) in the cylinder core (10), whereby the pivoting axis thereof extends transversely with respect to the cylindrical axis of the cylinder core. In order to simplify assembly, the lever (30) is provided with two limbs. One respective half of drag bearing elements is arranged on said limbs (34,35). The corresponding opposing halves (21) of the bearing elements are arranged in the cylinder core (10). The lever (30) can be radially snap-mounted in the cylinder core (10) by means of insertion bevels and counter insertion bevels. |
