The invention concerns an improved light for light posts, comprising a fixed lower semi-housing integrating the shield/transparent or translucent plate and an upper mobile semi-housing having means so that it can be hingedly connected to the bottom semi-housing and enabling combined rotation and displacement relative thereto. Both semi-housings are permanently connected to one another so that access to the interior thereof to replace/repair inner components is carried out without disassembling any element of the light. The invention can be used in illumination.
