The flexible mounting for a car exhaust comprises two base plates (2, 3), one of which is attached to the car bodywork and the other to the exhaust pipe. These are connected by elastomeric springs (6, 7) which are curved outwards in opposite directions with equal radii of curvature. Steel springs (10, 11) with the same curvature are mounted inside the elastomeric springs and stabilise them against shear stress.
