The clutch assembly comprises a cover (11) with a base (12) and skirt (13), a pressure plate (15) which moves axially relative to the cover (11), and a diaphragm (16) which presses against the base of the cover with a peripheral locking element. The locking element is in the for of an auxiliary ring (28) with external (35) and internal (32,36) lugs which engage respectively with slots (37) in the skirt of the cover, notches (33) in the pressure plate and the pressure plate's outer surface. Inner clips (39) on the auxiliary ring also engage with the outer surface of the diaphragm. |
