Case or bag for a portable office comprises a base member (1) a cover for the base member that also acts as a mounting plate (5), a plate type retainer (2) that is attached to the mounting plate so that it can be manually moved between two positions. The mounting plate (5) has a plug connection (3) and the retainer functions both to clamp and position the office device and to ensure exact guiding and making of electrical connections between the device and plug connection. Independent claims are made for two other case designs.
