The vehicle hood (3) comprises a panel (40) with hinges and runners (20) fixed to it and extending closer to the rear edge (6) than the other edges (4,5,7) for installing the hood on the vehicle chassis (2). A locking part (10) comprising a projecting ring (11) and notch (13) is fixed to the panel and exteends closer to the rear edge than the front edge (4) of the panel.
