The method and appliance of radiating a workpiece comprise an applaince with dispenser for injecting abrasive agent into a current of carrier-gas. A hose leads from the radiator to an abrasive piece from which the workpiece is abraded. The appliance incorporates a means of cooling the carrier-gas and of adding water to the current of carrier gas.
