<p>The invention relates to a device and a method for determining the oxidative load state or oxidative loadability of liquid fats, oils or mixtures thereof, comprising a tube (1) for receiving the liquid (7) which is to be measured, a holding and triggering device (9) for a falling body (11) which is used for measurement purposes whereby said device is arranged on one end of said tube (1), in addition to at least two contactless measurement sensors (15,17) which are arranged at a distance from each other on or in the wall of the tube, a device (5) for measuring and/or adjusting the temperature of the liquid in the tube, a cylindrical body (14) as a falling body (11), a control and data processing device (21) which is coupled to the holding and triggering device (9), sensors (15,17) and a device (5) for measuring liquid temperature, whereby the control and data processing device (21) measures the time required by the falling body (11) to pass from the first sensor (15) to the second sensor (17) when a predetermined temperature is reached, whereby the control and data processing device (21) determines a value for the oxidative load or loadability of the measured liquid by comparing the measuring data thus determined with stored comparative data, and said value is displayed on a display unit (23).</p> |
