PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monomer composition which can give a polymer having various performances such as high oxygen permeability, high water content, and low elastic modulus in a good balance, to provide the polymer comprising the monomers, and to provide a lens for eye. SOLUTION: The monomer composition compress the combination of three kinds of monomers in a proper weight ratio, wherein the monomers are defined by the values of the following G and Z, respectively: G=(the weight of Si atoms in one molecule of the monomer)/(the molecular weight of the monomer), and Z=(the number of etheric oxygen atoms in one molecule of the monomer)+(the number of hydroxyl group in one molecule of the monomer).
