PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural stone-like coating material that gives a coating film having the appearance of bright and velvet deepness and moisture-absorbing and releasing properties and a natural stone-like sheet. SOLUTION: The objective coating material comprises the base coating containing (A) a synthetic resin emulsion and (B) moisture-absorbing and releasing fine particles of synthetic resin and at least one selected from (C) pulverized powder of natural stone, pulverized powder of ceramic, glass powder, resin powder, metal powder and colored aggregates wherein the proportions of individual components are (B) 1-100 pts.wt. of the moisture-absorbing and releasing resin particles and (C) 300-1,500 pts.wt. of stone or ceramic powder per 100 pts.wt. of the resin emulsion in the solid basis.
