PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate surface protecting agent for a lithographic printing plate which is excellent in the effect of preventing flaw scumming and oil and fat scumming of the lithographic printing plate after the plate is made and also in protection of hydrophilic properties of a non-image part and which displays excellent inking properties for ink in a printing process and can be stored stably, while occurrence of a deposit and a change in viscosity are reduced in the storage. SOLUTION: The plate surface protecting agent for the lithographic printing plate, which contains starch, contains at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of a dimethyl sulfoxide, urea, thiourea, guanidine and derivatives thereof. |
