PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel device allowing the display of symbols with high unexpectedness, and a game machine equipped with this reel device. SOLUTION: This reel device comprises a reel tape having several kinds of symbols drawn every symbol drawing region, a reel having the reel tape wound thereon, and a light emitting source for illuminating the reel tape from the back. A half mirror region part transmitting the light from the back direction and reflecting the light from other directions is provided at least within the symbol drawing region.
