PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set for ink jet recording capable of presenting sufficient preservation stability even when print-recorded on proper paper. SOLUTION: This ink set for ink jet recording consists of several water soluble recording solution, for full color recording, in which a black ink is a water soluble recording solution containing at least one or more of black disazo pigments expressed by general formula (1) (wherein A expresses a phenyl or naphtyl which may be further substituted; B expresses phenylene or napthylene which may be substituted; R expresses H or phenyl which may be substituted; n is 1 or 2) as a free acid and a cyan ink contains at least one or more species of a phthalocyanine pigment expressed by general formula (2) (e.g. C.I. reactive blue 7 and the like).
