PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of basic performance of a conventional vacuum cleaner that a long time use at a strong position of an incremental position setting reduces operation time while that at a weak position causes the poor dust collecting performance. SOLUTION: It is possible to provide use-friendly rechargeable vacuum cleaner which can collect dust having entered a carpet and hardly coming out with increased suction power without reducing operation time so much to meet various kinds of surfaces to be cleaned, by way of a power-dash button 9a provided at a controller 6 for selecting an operation mode of raising suction power for a predetermined period of time.
