PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding chair capable of easily and reliably preventing the side dislocation of the chair when folded and stacked, without damaging the strength of or the comfortableness of the seat. SOLUTION: This folding chair is provided with a front leg 2, a rear leg 3 connected to the front leg, and the seat 9 connected to the front leg and the rear leg, and the front leg, the rear leg, and the seat can be folded into a nearly flat shape. The seat 9 is provided with a seat plate 10 and a seat frame 11 arranged on the back face of the seat plate. A surface side protruded edge section 18, which serves as a side displacement regulating section coupled with the seat frame to prevent the side displacement when folded chairs are stacked, is provided on the surface side of the seat plate.
