PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a weed killing structure which can easily, efficiently and safely kill weeds, and to obtain a granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator using the weed killing structure. SOLUTION: When electromagnetic waves are irradiated on a granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator 16 in a plant-culturing field 10, the electromagnetic waves are absorbed in the electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator in the granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator 16 to generate heat. Thereby, weeds growing in soil 12 are burned and killed. Hence, the weeds can easily and efficiently be killed. Further, since a herbicide is not used, the weeds can be killed without polluting the soil and underground water. The granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator 16 is produced by mixing the electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator with a granulating medium and then solidifying and shaping the mixture, and can therefore have large durability. Additionally, since the granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator 16 is granular, the granulated electromagnetic wave absorbing heat generator can simply and efficiently be set onto the soil 12 and can maintain the air permeability and water permeability of the soil 12.
