PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of chatter effectively and carry out high accurate machining efficiently in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A machine tool 22 is provided with a spindle 28 rotatably through a bearing 26 in a casing 24 and a boring bar 30 which is detachable from the spindle 28, and a chatter preventive structure 20 is provided with a damper chamber 34 at the tip of the boring bar 30, that is, at the position corresponding to a chatter preventive portion, and a friction damping magnet 36, which is housed in a damper chamber 34 movably in the direction shown by an arrow mark A, to attract vibration energy causing chatter during the machining of a workpiece W by sliding friction.
