METHOD FOR SEPARATING LITHIUM ISOTOPE AND ITS APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a lithium isotope without using harmful substances such as mercury so as not to pollute the environment, that is able to separate and concentrate the chemically stabilized Li isotope having the high isotope separation coefficient, and to provide its apparatus. SOLUTION: The method comprises applying a direct voltage above the decomposition voltage of a Li ion conductor on both the sides of the Li ion conductor, transferring 6Li from the positive potential side of a raw material containing 6Li and 7Li to the negative potential side, and separating and concentrating 6Li.
