PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D-luciferin analogue capable of being preserved for a long period even in a solution and to provide a reagent for analyzing luciferase activities and a reagent for analyzing ATP capable of being preserved for a long period even in a solution. SOLUTION: This D-luciferin analogue is represented by general formula (I) [concretely, e.g. (S)-2-(6-hydroxy-1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-2-thiazoline-4- carboxylic acid]. The reagent for analyzing the luciferase activities and the reagent for analyzing the ATP contain the D-luciferin analogue represented by the general formula (I).
