PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which the heater element of a circuit portion controlling a motor portion may be efficiently cooled with space saving, whose diminution in size and lightening are made and which has high usability. SOLUTION: A motor portion 11, a drive circuit portion 12 for an inverter performing an electric control of the motor portion 11, a bracket forming the housing of equipment of the motor portion 11 and an impeller 32 rotated by the motor portion 11 are included, a heater element 28 mounted on a circuit card 27 of the drive circuit portion 12 for an inverter is fixed to a face 35 approximately parallel to the axis direction of the motor 11 formed on the impeller 32 side of the bracket, the heater element 28 of the circuit portion 12 is efficiently cooled and the circuit portion 12 may be formed with space saving.
