PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus with which cleaning work can easily be carried out in a short time without requiring man-power of many people. SOLUTION: Cleaning apparatuses 5, 6 each housing a cleaning body 15 are detachably attached pivotally to a part of a crescent chain conveyor 1 to automatically clean the top surfaces of rails 8a, 8b as the conveyor 1 is made to travel. Thus, the cleaning work can easily be carried out in a short time without requiring man-power of many people. When the devices 5, 6 are not necessary, they are removed from the conveyor 1 so that food and drink, or the like, can be conveyed without hindrance.
