PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release work quickly after conveying it with a suction tool and position the work in place in addition. SOLUTION: A piston rod 12 as a vertically moving member carries a suction element 10 at the tip, and a suction/release passage 14 formed in the auction element 10 opens onto a suction surface 13. A vacuum passage 21 interconnecting the suction/release passage 14 and a vacuum source 20 has a vacuum supply control valve 24 for operating the vacuum passage 21 when work W is sucked up and closing the vacuum passage 21 when the suction is stopped. A positive pressure passage 22 interconnecting the suction/release passage 14 and a positive pressure source 17 has a vacuum break control valve 25 for opening the positive pressure passage 22 when the work suction is stopped and closing the positive pressure passage 22 when the suction is activated. The vacuum supply control valve 24 has an atmosphere opening port T for connecting the suction/release passage 14 to the atmosphere when the work auction is stopped. |
