<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting device for driving a small-sized rotary drum having a structure which can hoist up and down a slung load by a fine amount additionally to improve responsiveness in the case of hoisting up the slung load after it is rapidly lowered down. SOLUTION: In this power transmitting device for driving a rotary drum, provided with a first slipping clutch in an input shaft of a torque converter and a reversing gear mechanism in an output shaft of the torque converter to switch the direction of rotation of the rotary drum mounted in this output shaft by a forward and reverse rotation switching clutch, the forward and reverse rotation switching clutches are constituted respectively by a second slipping clutch and a wet multi-disc hydraulic clutch, a rotational speed of an output shaft of the reversing gear mechanism is controlled by combination of selective connection of the first and the second slipping clutch.</p> |
