PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amber glass having pale tint easily by melting an amber glass having a designated tone of color followed by addition of a pigment, and to provide a stained glass having quite new tone of color by designing the pigment to develop new use of the amber glass. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a stained glass comprises adding a pigment to an amber glass melted in a melting furnace for the amber glass, where the pigment is an oxide such as a metal oxide to oxidize the amber glass, resulting in a stained glass of pale amber color, dead leaf color or a blue color, and as the pigment, ferrous oxide, ferric oxide, a metallic iron powder, or frit and pellet containing the above can be used.
