PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of detecting and displaying the wear of a spur to be definitely notified to a user in prior to more damage to the recording face of a recording medium, than expected, due to the worn spur and additionally performing display in a more obvious and understandable manner. SOLUTION: The image recording device 1 typically comprises discharging means for discharging a rolled sheet S after recording, the discharging means having a carrying roller 19 for transmitting driving force to discharge the rolled sheet S and the spur 20 for pressing the rolled sheet S against the carrying roller 19 and being provided with a detecting wheel 24 for detecting the life of the spur 20 due to wear and a display wheel 29 to be associated with the operation of the detecting wheel 24, the operation of the display wheel 29 being slower and greater than the operation of the detecting wheel 24.
