PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker in which an increase in the internal pressure of the containing portion in which a control section is contained can be prevented. SOLUTION: In a rice cooker 1 having a lid 4 openably attached to a body 3, the lid 4 has a containing portion 12 containing a board (control section) 11 controlling the rice cooker 1, and the containing section 12 is tightly closed by a sheet 13a covering the surface of the lid 4, the containing portion 12 is provided with a balloon 16 (internal pressure increase prevention means) preventing an increase in the internal pressure of the containing section due to rice cooking heat.
