PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool that can sufficiently absorb vibration caused in an impact operation and has a long life. SOLUTION: Opposed surfaces of handles 4 and 5 and a body 1 have respective recessed portions 5a and la in which ends of impact absorbing members 9 can be inserted, and the inside diameter of hole portions 6 is made larger than the outside diameter of supporting point members 7 in the direction of impact operation. The vibration of the body 1 in the impact direction is absorbed when the first elastic member 9 inserted in the recessed portions 1a and 5a of the body 1 and the side handle 5 shears in the impact direction as shown in the figure. The vibration of the body 1 can be thus inhibited from vibrating the handles 4 and 5.
