PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the peripheral edge of a rivet fixing hole on a wall flat, when fixing a shelf column to the wall with a rivet. SOLUTION: This shelf column is provided with a support section 11 supporting a shelf board arranged in a storage space via a cleat and extended in the vertical direction, leg sections 12 and 12 formed on both sides of the support section 11 and abutting on the wall 51 forming the storage space, and a connecting section 13 connected to the wall 51 by the rivet 21 formed integrally with the leg sections 12 and 12. The receiving section 13a of the connecting section 13 receiving the head section 21a of the rivet 21 is formed into a flat plate shape so that the flat plate-shaped receiving section 13a approaches the wall 51 when assembling the shelf column.
