PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium capable of obtaining good image erasing property as well as a high-contrast image even when a temperature width for obtaining transparency is widened and an environmental temperature is changed, further, capable of obtaining a sufficient cloudiness even when the medium is preserved under the existence of a basic substance. SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording medium is provided on a substrate with a heat sensitive layer consisting of a resin and an organic low molecular substance dispersed in the resin as a principal constituent while the transparent condition of the same is changed reversibly into an opaque condition depending on a temperature. A compound (A) containing straight-chain hydrocarbon group having no carboxyl group and a compound (B) containing straight-chain hydrocarbon group having no carboxyl group having a melting point lower than that of the compound (A) by 20 deg.C or more is employed as the organic low molecular substance. The image processing method and the image processing device form and/or erase the image by heating employing the reversible thermal recording medium, the reversible thermal recording label, the information memory member provided with the reversible thermal recording medium, the recording medium, the recording label or the information memory member.
