PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder for a printer, adaptable for holding paper rollers with core portions having different diameters. SOLUTION: A pair of paper guides 32a, 32b for holding the paper roller therebetween are mounted with bosses 34a, 34b, respectively, to be fitted into the core portion of the paper roller. The bosses 34a, 34b formed in doughnut shape are fitted into protrusions 35a, 35b formed on the paper guides 32a, 32b whereby they are detachable mounted on the paper guides 32a, 32b. The bosses 34a, 34b are available with various diameters and are used in exchange corresponding to the diameter of the core portion of the paper roller to be held.
