PURPOSE: Reinforcing structure of a cowl for a vehicle body is provided to improve the rigidity against torsion of the vehicle by mounting plural reinforcing members between an upper panel, a lower panel and a front pillar. CONSTITUTION: An upper cowl panel(50) and a lower cowl panel(60) are placed on a dash panel, and combined with a front pillar(70). A couple of reinforcing members(80) are installed in the upper and lower cowl panels to form the closed section. A first reinforcing member(81) is mounted between the upper and lower cowl panels, and a second reinforcing member(85) is jointed to the first reinforcing member and the lower cowl panel. The upper cowl panel is mounted in the front of the first reinforcing member, and the front pillar is mounted to the rear parts of the reinforcing members. The rigidity is improved with mounting reinforcing members.
