PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an air electrode catalyst composed of fine aggregate with superior discharge polarization characteristics by a simple process. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the air electrode catalyst, at least, treated by a process mixing and stirring carbon, rare earth oxide and polytetrafluoroethylene, carbon and rare earth oxide are added to excessive water to be mixed and stirred, polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion is added thereto to be mixed and stirred, an organic solvent is added thereto, and then the air electrode catalyst is manufactured through a process of heating and mixing it. The temperature in heating, mixing, and stirring is preferably 150-200 deg.C and lower alcohols such as butanol is preferable as the organic solvent. |
