<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact transformer that reduces manufacturing man- hours and is easily manufactured, and a high-voltage generator and a discharge lamp device that use the transformer. SOLUTION: A housing 11 is integrated by an insulating resin. In the housing 11, a core 20, and a secondary coil 21 wound around the core 20 are accommodated. A low-voltage terminal 15 and a second terminal 16 are accommodated into the housing 11 by insert molding. The high-voltage side terminal section of the secondary coil 21 is electrically connected to a first terminal 22 while being separated from the opening of the housing 11. The first terminal 22 has an elastic section 23 for pressing to the second terminal 16 by elastic force. The second terminal 16 is connected electrically to the feeding terminal of a discharge lamp. The housing 11 covers the high-voltage side of the secondary coil 21, that is the high-voltage section and the first and second terminals 22 and 16 for accommodating, thus lengthening the creeping distance between low- and high-voltage sections.</p> |
