PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a capacitor which can eliminate the problems of generation of a positional shift, caused by a slippage of a winding start of an anode foil at manufacturing of a wound-type capacitor element and of generation of short-circuiting of the anode foil from its tip end and which is superior in dimensional accuracy and reliability. SOLUTION: In the method for preparing a capacitor element, a tip end 1a of an anode foil 1 is wound around a coil core 6 under the condition that the tip end be held in a slit 7 of the core 7l. Thereby, since the slippage of the anode foil 1 at the time of starting winding of the foil can be removed and the positional shift of an anode lead wire caused can thereby be eliminated, a capacitor having superior dimensional accuracy and reliability can be produced in a stable manner.
