The skis are in the form of a pair of boards (1) of elongated elliptical shape, e.g. 100 cm long by 25 cm wide and weighing about 800g each, having concave upper surfaces with fastenings (3) for the feet, and optionally detachable and interchangeable fins (2) of different sizes on the underside.
