PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal equipment by which sufficient security protection can be obtained. SOLUTION: The terminal equipment 10 is used for a two-way interactive communication system. The equipment 10 comprises a display 12, a CCD camera 14, an iris position detector 16 for detecting a position of an iris from an image of a user's face imaged by the camera 14, a CCD camera controller 18 for controlling an imaging direction and an imaging magnification of the camera 14 so as to photograph the image of the iris, an authenticating unit 20 for authenticating a user by comparing the image of the iris photographed by the camera 14 with the image of an iris previously stored in a storage unit 22, a light source 24 for illuminating the user's face, and a light source controller 26 for controlling a light amount of the illumination by the light source 14. |
